Current/Upcoming Classes
Series 1 – 8 classes:
Jan 15 – Mar 5* ended
Series 2 – 8 classes:
Apr 2** – May 21*
*IMPORTANT – Mar 5 and May 21 classes are all levels combined from 6:30 – 8:00
**Due to a death in the family I have postponed the start of our Spring flamenco series. The start of Series 2 classes will now be April 2nd and we will extend the series to have classes on May 14th and May 21st to makeup for the missed classes. Please note this means that May 7th and 14th classes will be at the normal times and May 21st will be 6:30 – 8:00 for all levels combined.
**If you registered with the understanding that classes would begin March 19th – If you are unable to attend May 14th and/or May 21st and would prefer a refund for the cancelled March 19th and/or March 26th classes, you need to let Sugar Swing know by end of day March 26th. After that the only option is to attend the May 14th and May 21st classes to make up the time.

Levels
Flamenco 1 – Beginner – Thursdays from 6 – 7pm
For those with little or no flamenco experience and those wanting to review and improve their skills with 4 count rhythm. Character shoes or any shoes with a sturdy heel are fine for beginner students.
This class works with some of the basic elements of flamenco dance: arms, footwork, movement and clapping. Students will gain an understanding of flamenco terminology, rhythm, music, and structure as they learn how to dance, clap, and improvise within the 4 count.
Flamenco 2 – Intermediate – Thursdays from 7 – 8pm
For intermediate students and those that have taken a few sessions of the beginner level and are ready for a new challenge. If you haven’t attended this level yet this year, please contact me before registering. We are working on Alegrias.
Flamenco 3 – Advanced – Thursdays from 8 – 9pm
For advanced students and intermediate students that are ready for a bigger challenge. If you haven’t attended this level yet this year, please contact me before registering. We are working on Bamberas.
Cost
$160 per Series – 8 classes
Drop-in
$22/class – Payment is through Sugar Swing. Register via the drop-in link on the registration page or pay at the office before class.
Discounts
- $5 discount for Students and Sugar Swing members
- Register and pay at least 7 days in advance of each series to get the Early-bird discount of 10% using the code: FLAMENCO (if you have trouble with the code on the website, please let the office know)
- 25% off a second level when signing up for both (let the office know after you sign up)
Studio Location
Sugar Swing is located at 10019 80 Ave.
There is parking on the east side of the building and ample parking in the neighbourhood.
