Performance in Edmonton!

UPDATE: This show is now sold out!

A rare opportunity to experience Flamenco as it is meant to be: live and up close.

Flamenco at the Yardbird
Sunday, May 12th, 2024
7:30 pm
Yardbird Suite, Edmonton

At long last I can announce that I will be back performing flamenco piano and dance in Edmonton at the Yardbird Suite on Sunday, May 12th (Mother’s Day) at 7:30pm.

The lineup for this show is fantastic. I’m so thrilled to be performing with my longtime friends and colleagues: dancers Claire Marchand (Vancouver) and Rosanna Terracciano (Calgary); and guitarist Peter Mole (Vancouver); as we collaborate with singer Celedonio Garrido (Spain), for an intimate evening of flamenco dance, guitar, piano, and song.

This project had been percolating for the past year when a sudden opportunity to work with Cele popped up this Spring inspiring us to bring it to fruition in May. We’re so pleased the Yardbird was able to accomodate his available dates.

Hope to see you there!

If you are a current student in Flamenco 2 or 3, this class is for you! (Level 1, not quite yet. Previous exposure to the 12 count is vital) As this is a multi-level class there will options for each area of focus for those needing it simplified or wanting more of a challenge.

  • Discounted rate for students currently registered in Flamenco 2 or 3
  • Drop-in $22

If you are interested in a general flamenco technique class starting mid-February, could you please take a few seconds to fill out the google form at the link below? EATF award announcement!

I am thrilled to share that I am one of this year’s 25 recipients of the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund Award. Supported by the Edmonton Arts Council and the Edmonton Community Foundation, this award is dedicated to the artistic development of Edmonton artists.

I’m so thankful to fellow flamenca Rosanna Terracciano for nominating me. Ever grateful for her friendship, endless support, and our past artistic collaborations. Always ready for more.

You can read about all of this year’s recipients on the EAC blog.

I was interviewed in French with 3 other award recipients for Radio-Canada’s November 20th broadcast of “Le café show”. You can have a listen here.

The Edmonton Journal had a feature article interviewing a few of the participants and highlighting the 25th celebration and award announcement at the AGA. Have a read here.

Beyond the honour of being awarded amongst an incredible list of fellow artists from across so many disciplines, I am so proud to be an ambassador for flamenco and have it recognized in the broader arts landscape.
