Flamenco events this weekend

WORKSHOPS – A reminder that Stephanie Pedraza will be giving workshops in flamenco song, dance and rhythm this Friday and Sunday and is our featured guest in the performance on Saturday night.

Current Friday students, your class this weekend is at 6:00 on Friday night. Please make note of the time as it is earlier than usual for level I students. There is still room to join the Sunday classes with Stephanie. If you decide you would like to attend them as well, you can let me know on Friday night.

Current Sunday students, your Friday class begins at 7:00.

12:00 – 1:00 cante and compás

Intermediate/Advanced Level – Bulerías de Cadíz

7:00 – 8:00 choreography

2:00 – 3:30 choreography
3:30 – 4:30 cante and compás

Showcasing guest Vancouver artist Stephanie Pedraza,
Chufla – arteflamenco presents Sketches of Flamenco an intimate evening of live flamenco dance, guitar and song. The show features an inspiring collaboration between flamenco artists from Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. Guitarist David Matyas accompanies singer and dancer Stephanie Pedraza and dancers Francesca Canalizo, Jane Ogilvie and Maria Regnier as the group brings their years of dedication to this passionate art form to the stage.
