New session Flamenco Class information now available

The registration information for the upcoming session of flamenco classes is now available. For those that have been waiting, thanks again for your patience. There have been many scheduling details to work out.

Returning students will notice some changes this session.
For the first time in 10 years I am raising my rates.  This affects the total class fee, the registration fee and the drop-in rate. Fees have been raised slightly to reflect inflation and the increasing cost of studio rental.

Students will no longer be considered registered until their registration fee has been paid.  If you have been in the habit of giving me your word and just paying on the first class, please be aware that this will no longer be acceptable. Classes without enough students registered will be cancelled and fees refunded.

I’m very excited to announce that Stephanie Pedraza will return for a dance/song workshop this fall. The first day of the workshop with Stephanie (Friday, November 30th) is included in my class session. Students wishing to take the full workshop will receive a $30 discount on the total workshop fee if they are already registered in my fall session.

Stephanie will be here for our Dec. 1st show “Sketches of Flamenco” at Expressionz Cafe. The show will feature Stephanie, myself and Calgary artists David Matyas, Maria Regnier and Francesca Canalizo. Stay tuned for more information on the show in the next month.

The deadline to register for this session is October 5th.
Classes begin on October 12th.

Stephanie Pedraza returns!

I’m excited to announce that Stephanie Pedraza will be returning to Edmonton for a weekend of classes in flamenco dance and song on March 31st and April 1st, 2012.

Stephanie was here this past November for a smaller workshop and received rave reviews. Students learned a mini-choreography on the Saturday and worked with cante and compás on the Sunday. Based on student feedback we have expanded this workshop to have dance on both days and will maintain the cante and compás session on the Sunday.

If you are registering for a complete level, there is an early bird discounted rate. Early bird registrations must be received by me on Feb. 20th at the latest in order to receive the discounted rate.

Though preference is given to students that register for a complete level, if you are unable to make both days or would like to add classes to your level there is also the option to register for individual classes.

The final registration deadline is Feb. 27th

Stephanie is also available for private and semi-private classes.

Click here for more information and to register.

Hope to see you in class!
